Delta Industrial Automation Unveils Collaborative Robot & Smart Factory Solutions at Hannover Messe 2024

Delta participated at Hannover Messe 2024 from April 22 to 26 with the theme of  "Realizing an Intelligent, Sustainable, and Connecting World", and showcased a wide variety of cutting-edge, smart manufacturing solutions and products. Exhibit highlights included the next evolution collaborative robot D-BoT Series, with six versatile models of various operations attracting visitors’ attention and their requests for details. Delta also demonstrated smart manufacturing solutions, covering IIoT, high-speed fluid machinery, water treatment, energy management, packaging, and woodworking, to assist industries in building successful smart factories.

Delta introduced its D-Bot Series cobot, which is designed to facilitate smart factory transformations, at the unveiling ceremony on the first day of the exhibition. Visitors, Delta’s executives, and staff were invited to witness this significant moment. On the second day of the exhibition, Delta held a press conference with Dalip Sharma, president and general manager of Delta Electronics EMEA Region, and shared Delta’s dedication and progress to sustainable development. Michael Mayer-Rosa, senior director of the Industrial Automation Business Group, Delta Electronics EMEA Region, spoke further on the features and specifications of the D-Bot.

The D-Bot leverages Delta’s deep-rooted expertise in manufacturing, machine and factory automation. It is engineered for swift deployment and straightforward operation, offering ‘Plug & Play’ functionality alongside intuitive programming. The cobot portfolio boasts payload capacities of up to 30 kg, a reach that spans as long as 1,800 mm, and compatibility with EtherCAT, CODESYS, and Modbus to ensure optimal levels of precision, in applications such as pick & place, palletizing, and welding.

During the five-day exhibition, Delta also focused on the energy-saving, and low-carbon emission megatrends and showcased its High-Speed Fluid Machinery Solution and Water Treatment Solution. The High-Speed Fluid Machinery Solution integrates maglev drives, motors, and bearings to enhance rotational speed and achieve wide, stable high-speed drive control. The Water Treatment Solution utilizes the SCADA System VTScada with an intuitive visualization interface for remote monitoring of each water treatment plant subsystem. Seeing the continuous growth of the packaging industry, Delta also introduced the Packaging Machine Solution, which adopts the PLC-Based Motion Controllers AX-5 Series with multi-axis motion controllers and slice-type remote I/O modules for more flexible expansion. The AX-5 Series also supports a wide range of communication protocols and excels in IIoT connectivity.
